Work from the top of this Affliction Warlock rotation list. On each global cooldown, press the first spell whose condition is true.

How the Affliction Warlock rotation plays

Spend your opening casts applying everything. Bane of Doom goes first if it can land before the fight ends, which in a one minute fight means right at the end. You can only have one Bane on the target at a time, so casting Agony replaces Doom.

After the setup, your job is upkeep. Watch the debuff timers and reapply each one when it runs out. Between those casts, Shadow Bolt is your filler.

Shadow Trance makes your next Shadow Bolt instant, so use it at once. Life Tap converts health into mana, and the hint for it appears when you drop below 25%. This spec also starts with a Succubus, so your demon adds damage throughout.

Common mistakes to avoid

These slips cost the most damage in a Affliction Warlock rotation.

• Casting Bane of Agony over Bane of Doom by accident.
• Letting Corruption or Immolate fall off during Shadow Bolt casts.
• Finishing a long cast instead of watching for a Shadow Trance proc.
