WoW Forever Rotation

Retribution Paladin Rotation in WoW Forever

The Retribution Paladin rotation in WoW Forever centers on seal twisting. Each swing stores an Echo of your active seal, and the first swing with the other seal releases them all, so your timing is tied to your weapon.

Retribution Paladin rotation priority

Work from the top of this Retribution Paladin rotation list. On each global cooldown, press the first spell whose condition is true.

  1. 01Seal of RighteousnessKeep a seal up at all times.
  2. 02Hammer of WrathUse it in execute range.
  3. 03JudgementUse it on cooldown.
  4. 04Seal of FurySwap to it at 3 Echoes of Righteousness.
  5. 05Seal of RighteousnessSwap back at 3 Echoes of Fury.
  6. 06Holy StrikeUse it on cooldown.
  7. 07ConsecrationUse it on cooldown.

How the Retribution Paladin rotation plays

Echoes stack up to three, and the count shows on your buff bar. At three Echoes of Righteousness, swap to Seal of Fury. Your next swing sets every Echo off. Then the process repeats in the other direction, ending with a swap back to Righteousness.

Make one swap per cycle. A second swap before your weapon lands wastes a global cooldown and gains you nothing. Watch the main-hand swing timer so you know when the Echoes will release.

Judgement is off the global cooldown, so use it whenever it returns. Holy Strike and Consecration fill the remaining time. Holy Strike doesn't trigger your seal or spend an Echo, because only melee swings do that.

Common mistakes to avoid

These slips cost the most damage in a Retribution Paladin rotation.

  • Swapping seals at one or two Echoes and releasing a smaller burst.
  • Expecting Holy Strike to release your Echoes.
  • Sitting on Judgement while waiting for a global cooldown it doesn't need.

A practice drill

To lock in your Retribution Paladin rotation: Run 60 second fights with your eyes on the swing timer and the Echo count, and only look at the hints after each swap.
