Fire Mage Rotation in WoW Forever
The Fire Mage rotation in WoW Forever has more moving parts than Frost. You keep Fire Vulnerability stacked on the target, build Heating Up with Fire Blast, and spend it on Pyroblast, all while Fireball fills the gaps.

Fire Mage rotation priority
Work from the top of this Fire Mage rotation list. On each global cooldown, press the first spell whose condition is true.
- 01CombustionUse it once Fire Vulnerability reaches 5 stacks.
- 02EvocationUse it when you fall below 10% mana.
- 03Arcane BlastRefresh it before Pyroblast if it is about to run out.
- 04PyroblastCast it at 3 stacks of Heating Up.
- 05ScorchStack Fire Vulnerability to 5, then refresh it before it runs out.
- 06Fire BlastUse it on cooldown above 30% mana, unless Clearcasting is up.
- 07Arcane MissilesCast it when Missile Barrage is active.
- 08Arcane BlastKeep 1 stack up for its spell damage.
- 09FireballYour filler in every other moment.
How the Fire Mage rotation plays
Open with Scorch until Fire Vulnerability reaches five stacks, then use Combustion. This debuff is the base of the whole rotation, so refresh it with another Scorch when it has about five seconds left.
Fire Blast on cooldown builds Heating Up. At three stacks, Pyroblast is ready. Check Arcane Blast first, because its single stack adds spell damage and you want it active when the big hit lands.
Between those moments, cast Fireball. Skip Fire Blast while Clearcasting is up, and stop using it once you are below 30% mana. Missile Barrage procs are free damage, so take them when they appear.
Common mistakes to avoid
These slips cost the most damage in a Fire Mage rotation.
- Letting Fire Vulnerability drop and having to rebuild all five stacks.
- Casting Pyroblast with Arcane Blast about to expire.
- Using Fire Blast while Clearcasting is up.
A practice drill
To lock in your Fire Mage rotation: Watch the debuff timer under the target for a full fight, and practice refreshing Scorch without looking at the hints.
