Combat Rogue Rotation in WoW Forever
The Combat Rogue rotation in WoW Forever is a loop of energy and combo points. Sinister Strike builds points, Slice and Dice and Eviscerate spend them, and the new Shank ability keeps your energy moving.

Combat Rogue rotation priority
Work from the top of this Combat Rogue rotation list. On each global cooldown, press the first spell whose condition is true.
- 01Ambush or GarroteOpen from Stealth with Ambush, or Garrote without a dagger.
- 02Thistle TeaUse it when you are low on energy, below about 20.
- 03Slice and DiceKeep it up, starting from 2 combo points.
- 04Adrenaline RushUse it on cooldown.
- 05Blade FlurryUse it on cooldown.
- 06EviscerateSpend at 5 combo points.
- 07ShankUse it on cooldown when you are under 80 energy.
- 08Sinister StrikeYour combo point builder.
How the Combat Rogue rotation plays
Open from Stealth, then put up Slice and Dice as soon as you have two combo points. Attack speed is a large part of your damage, so this buff stays above Eviscerate in the priority.
Use Adrenaline Rush and Blade Flurry when they are ready. Build with Sinister Strike, and spend on Eviscerate only at five combo points so you don't waste a finisher on a small hit.
Shank is the rhythm change in this rotation. It costs very little, can't miss, and returns energy, so press it whenever it is ready and you are under 80 energy. Thistle Tea is your emergency refill, and it is off the global cooldown.
Common mistakes to avoid
These slips cost the most damage in a Combat Rogue rotation.
- Forgetting Shank because it isn't a combo point builder.
- Using Shank near full energy and wasting what it returns.
- Refreshing Slice and Dice late and losing attack speed.
A practice drill
To lock in your Combat Rogue rotation: Use a 2 minute fight and keep your eyes on the energy bar. The goal is to almost never sit at full energy.
