Work from the top of this Enhancement Shaman rotation list. On each global cooldown, press the first spell whose condition is true.

1. 01Flametongue WeaponKeep it on, unless you have chosen Windfury Weapon.
2. 02Strength of Earth TotemKeep it down.
3. 03Searing TotemKeep it down.
4. 04Rage of the FarseerUse it on cooldown.
5. 05Lightning BoltCast it at 5 Maelstrom Weapon stacks, when it is instant and free.
6. 06StormstrikeUse it on cooldown.
7. 07Flame ShockKeep it up on the target.
8. 08Earth ShockUse it on cooldown, ideally right after Stormstrike.
9. 09Fire NovaUse it on cooldown.

How the Enhancement Shaman rotation plays

Put up your imbue and totems before you attack. They cost no global cooldown or cast time before the fight, and doing it then means your first seconds go straight into damage.

Stormstrike has a six second cooldown and sets up your next Earth Shock, so press them in that order when you can. Earth, Flame and Frost Shock share one cooldown, so if Flame Shock has dropped, restore it first.

Maelstrom Weapon is the proc to watch. At five stacks, Lightning Bolt is instant and free, and it sits above Stormstrike in the priority. Fire Nova and Rage of the Farseer fill the gaps whenever they are ready.

Common mistakes to avoid

These slips cost the most damage in a Enhancement Shaman rotation.

• Starting the fight before your totems and imbue are in place.
• Using Earth Shock just before Stormstrike instead of just after.
• Holding five Maelstrom stacks and not casting Lightning Bolt straight away.

A practice drill

To lock in your Enhancement Shaman rotation: Practice the first ten seconds. Set up before the pull, start the fight, and repeat until the opening order is automatic.
